Step 1: free consultation and a tailored treatment plan
Ready to work effectively on anti-ageing or skin concerns? Not before we have thoroughly gone through the steps with you. This starts with the free consultation. During this introductory meeting we assess your skin so that we can advise you properly. We check whether your skin is suitable for the NeoGen™ EVO and note your wishes. What do you expect from the nitrogen plasma treatment and what do you hope to achieve? Based on your wishes and the possibilities, we draw up a personal treatment plan. This way we cannot make any mistakes and you are assured of an optimal result. After the consultation we discuss which products you can use at home to prepare for your first plasma treatment with the NeoGen™ EVO. This gets your skin into the condition it needs over two weeks to undergo the first treatment.

Step 2: before the treatment  
For two weeks, the treated skin must not have been exposed to the sun, tanning bed or self-tanner. It is also necessary that you have used the products we discussed during the consultation for at least two weeks, including in any case a sun protection product. Do not forget to drink enough water before the treatment. If your skin is insufficiently hydrated, this can affect the recovery time and the results of the nitrogen plasma treatment.

Step 3: the treatment
The plasma treatment starts with thoroughly cleansing the skin. The skin is then treated with hyaluronic acid and high-quality cosmeceuticals, so that your skin benefits optimally from the plasma treatment. The plasma treatment feels like warm pressure on the skin; at a low energy level this should be painless. For treatments at a higher energy level, a numbing cream can be used if needed, which makes the plasma treatment feel pleasant. During the treatment we make passes over the area to be treated. This takes half an hour on average, depending on the size of the area to be treated. After the plasma treatment we care for your skin with a hydrating, restorative serum and a sun protection product.

Different energy levels
The NeoGen™ EVO can be set to different energy levels. Depending on the indication and the intended results, we can treat at levels ranging from 0.8 joules to 4 joules. At a lower energy we can achieve beautiful results in the areas of refining pores, active acne, overall skin improvement, tackling dark circles, signs of skin ageing and addressing melasma or pigmentation. We use a higher energy level, up to 4 joules, for things such as deep wrinkles, (acne) scars, stretch marks, photodamage or actinic keratosis.

Step 4: after the treatment
Immediately after the plasma treatment, the ‘jacket’ that forms around the skin is visible. This shows as shiny, taut skin. The skin also looks red. This can last for up to 24 hours, after which the redness disappears. Part of the renewal process is the flaking that will occur. The extent to which you peel depends on the intensity with which the skin was treated, but also on your skin condition. After the treatment, use the products for home use, as discussed during the consultation or the treatment. Always protect the skin with a sun protection product. This way the skin can recover better and faster. After a plasma treatment the skin is also thinner, which means you get sun damage more quickly.
